I arrived at Luleå airport at 3:30 pm today and it was already dark. And yes. that is snow on the ground.
There was a small amount of snow outside the airport but it was cold, the perfect welcome to the polar bear in me. Gulnara and Hassan found me when I arrived and we went for a late walk to arrange bus passes and food. We are off to Luleå University in a few hours to make a start.
By 4:00 am in the morning it is -3 C degrees outside and I had finally managed to hack into the router at the apartment I am staying at. I looked out the window and the inner four-year old in me just had to get dressed and go outside to play…
